Export a project for another device

Export project records and available media for backup, import, or merging.

Steps

1. Open the source project drawer and select Export project.
2. Review record counts and warnings for missing media.
3. Choose light JSON.GZ only for records without media, or ZIP/TAR.GZ for a complete transfer with available media.
4. Export and store or send the archive securely.
5. On the receiving device, use home-screen Import project for a new local project or Merge project within an existing project. Retain the source until records and attachments are verified.
6. Repeat at the end of each field day. Also keep full database backups at regular checkpoints and before imports or merges.
