Capture a coordinate with GPS

Record a site position and uncertainty from the device location service.

Steps

1. Open the site and its Coordinates section.
2. Select Add coordinate, choose Manual, and enable device GPS.
3. Allow location access and wait for latitude, longitude, elevation, and uncertainty to stabilize.
4. Add a coordinate name, datum, and notes when needed.
5. Save and verify the point on the map.

Caution

Do not report more precision than the observed coordinate uncertainty supports.

If location access is denied or no position is available, check the device permissions and location service, or enter a documented position manually. Do not substitute zero coordinates.
