Prepare a device and NAHPU

Prepare the installation, power, and essential settings before fieldwork.

Steps

Install or update NAHPU while reliable internet is available.
Charge the device and power banks, then confirm enough free storage.
Open Setup NAHPU from the home screen or the menu drawer and run the setup wizard.
Work through Catalog format, Identifiers, the Sites, Events, Specimens, and Parasites vocabulary steps, and Export presets, where you can add the optional presets for your catalog format. Or select Import user configs to reuse the setup your team already exported.
Test the camera, GPS, file picker, and intended backup destination.
Run one mock catalog session and correct the setup before departure.

Confirm that the trial records and backup can be opened before using this setup in the field.
