Enter or import coordinates

Add coordinates from field notes, spreadsheets, GIS files, or a NAHPU QR code.

  1. Open a site and select Add coordinate. For manual entry, choose DD, DDM, DMS, or WGS84 UTM and enter the values and directions.
  2. For file import, choose Import > Select coordinate file. Supported files include CSV, TSV, Excel, GeoJSON/JSON, KML, zipped Shapefile, and GPX.
  3. For tabular files, map the coordinate columns and optional fields, then select Review coordinates. Use Edit column mapping if the preview is incorrect.
  4. For a NAHPU QR code, use Scan QR to read the coordinate shown on another device.
  5. Review warnings and mapped positions. Check the datum, coordinate format, elevation units, and any missing uncertainty information.
  6. Select the points to keep and use Add N selected for a file import. Open the saved coordinates on the site to verify the result.
