NAHPU aims to be accessible to everyone, regardless of their native language. Translation lets them learn and use NAHPU in their preferred language. We welcome translators at every level, from a single corrected word to a complete new language.
NAHPU is currently translated into Brazilian Portuguese, Spanish, and Indonesian. Translations are drafted with AI assistance and reviewed by people who speak the language.
Start simple
Seção intitulada “Start simple”You do not need GitHub or any coding experience to help. The easiest way to start is to leave a comment in the NAHPU translation spreadsheet. Point out a wrong or awkward translation, suggest a better term, or ask about a word you are unsure of. A NAHPU team member will review your comment and carry the change into the documentation or the app.
Choose what to translate
Seção intitulada “Choose what to translate”| Area | What it covers | Guide |
|---|---|---|
| Documentation | Usage guides, how-to recipes, and best practices on this website | Documentation translation |
| App | Labels, buttons, messages, and settings inside the NAHPU app | App translation |
Both areas share the same Translation glossary, so a concept has the same name in the app and in the documentation. Read it before you translate, and propose new entries when you meet a term it does not cover.
Add a new language
Seção intitulada “Add a new language”We are always looking for speakers of languages NAHPU does not support yet. A new language needs both the documentation and the app, so please reach out to a NAHPU team member before you start. We will help you set up the language and pair you with a reviewer.
